Post 639 is proud to display a UH-1H (Huey) Helicopter on a static mounting in front of our post building.  This Huey is serial number SN: 69-15051 US Army Stock number 1520000877637 and the original cost new is $922,704.00.  This unit saw action in Vietnam as a "med-evac" chopper and was most likely instrumental in saving lives of American Servicemen.  The unit was last operational in the Oklahoma National Guard and was de commissioned at the Missouri AVCRAD in Springfield and transported to Post 639 by truck (see pictures below)  Danny Melton was post commander and requested a "Huey" for static display on November 22, 1993 and on July 4, 1995 we had a big dedication ceremony.  If anyone has additional information about either of our Helicopters, please let us know at by email to information@post639.com.
